Help With Multi-Elmac AF-68 Grid Bias?

I asked a friend about replacing the Burgess #U-15 22 1/2v battery used for
grid bias in my recently acquired Multi-Elmac AF-68.  This is what he
wrote:

Which of these is preferred, and why, please?
