6M AM

I just got my first working 6M AM rig (thanks, Gary!), a Clegg 99'er.
I believe that the standard AM frequency is 50.4 MHz.  Is there some
regular schedule when people are on (I am in the LA basin)?

The Clegg takes FT-243 xtals, but I have the kind with fatter pins.
Does someone make an adaptor?
