Hi Larry & all,
I think I remember seeing one of those rigs in an old shack just after WW2,
but if I remember right, it was originally used as the fixed end of an early
one way "station/car police" radio communicationa system. Before WW2, the
Police used a frequency that was near the 160 meter band, and was included
on the dial of many BCB/SW home receivers of that era. Not real sure, but
that Robert Dollar Company rings a bell with me, and that may be a place to
start your research. Hope this helps.
