TV-7B/U Tube tester problem

My TV-7 will no longer read anything when I push the test button.  It was
working fine when all of a sudden the Gm reading started to go higher, then
off scale, then nothing.  The meter still works fine in the line adjust
position. Both rectifier tubes check OK.  Any ideas?  Bill,  K2HV
