RCA phono jacks on Heath gear

I always figured it was because it was cheaper... but keep in mind Collins
used RCA jacks on some of its stuff... including stuff destined for MIL
use, and the input on my Alpha 78 is an RCA jack. Specifically on
amplifiers, it might be because that makes it more difficult to mix the
input with the output.
