RCA jacks on Heath

Hi gang...

I have a lot of Collins S-line type gear and owned most of what Heath made
when it was new. Being in marketing I think a lot of it was that they
expected you to get the amp to go with the 'exciter'. Remember, they called
the rigs 'exciters' because you would then want to add the amp, right?

Since the 'exciter' wasn't actually going to the antenna (in their idea of
how you should do it) and it was logical to make all the patch cables from
the 'exciter' to the amp the same, they both used a lot of RCA jacks.

Of course, there is no question it was cheaper too...

Just my thoughts.
