Oh dear! I just hope that such a modification will not produce any
side effects in the receiver, such as heterodynarreah!  :-)

Sorry Lane, I couldn't resist. It sounds like it could be a good
modification for a lot of receivers that did not include PBT or i.f.
shift, and of course a lot of them only came with one wide filter and
no other filter options.

What type of receiver are you thinking of  trying this on?
