Scam Notice
If you have been approached by a guy in Largo, Florida who has a
long, impressive, list of WW-II military radio equipment to sell, STOP
ANY FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS!! THIS EQUIPMENT DOES NOT EXIST!
A "Mike Kirby" has already sold this very same list of equipment to
at least three different people, and most likely more. At this time
legal
action is being taken by several. If you have been related a story of an
estate collection that includes a brother-in-law/truck driver that will
deliver said equipment, and sob story about a recent move, no permanent
address or home phone number, and given a fax number of a Florida hotel
as a contact, and would accept 1/2 payment as a deposit. This is the
same guy.
Mr. Kirby has been operating out of this hotel in Florida
for some time. Evidence is being gathered at this
time for impending legal action against him.
It would appear that most of his victims have been those who
had advertisements in various publications for wanted equipment. The
scam
may have not been limited to only military type radio equipment, but may
have also include other types of a rare nature.
If you have any evidence and/or information concerning this case,
please forward it to military-radio-guy at juno.com
