Mike,

I wouldn't pay much over $100 US for a 2C.  I've owned a 2C and it is a
good receiver but it lacks the fabulous passband tuning of the 2B and R
series receivers which makes them the great receivers they are.  This is
why the 2C does not command the same price as a 2B.  The 2C is still a much
better receiver without the 2CQ than the comparable Hallicrafters of the
day.  You can homebrew a Q-multiplier for it, or use a <gasp> Heathkit
Q-multiplier with it.
