The glass audio gurus who create the fashion trends in
tube audio equipment have large stocks of Mullard tubes.
There are too many Sylvanias around to effectivly
create an artificial scarcity for them.
Therefore, a few articles in the audio fashion magazines
about Mullards with some techno-nonsense thrown in
and bam-- 400% profit.
Same scam as used with "modern art" and wines.
The folly of The Great Herd... you gotta love it.
