Why Repaint ???

Folks,

Boatanchors is a hobby of mine. It gives me a chance to examine and use a radio I read about
as a kid. If the user modified the radio, it is a part of the character of the set. Ham's traditionally
modified their radios. If a set is in bad shape, I try to fix it up with what I have on hand, again the
     spirit of Amateur Radio.

There is a group of BA collectors who apparently are in it for the business aspects of renovating
items and selling it in a hot market....

I have to agree with Floyd. A rusted and beat up 53 Buick is just a rusted
and beat up 53 Buick, but put a paint job on it and you have something.
Same goes for these old ham grade radios. Much better chance of it finding
a home when you are done with it (or when it is done with you), if it is
bright and shiny.

I am personally not interested in this aspect of the hobby.

Maybe the list should be separated in two lists,
BATANCHORS_HOBBY and BOATANCHORS_BUSINESS.
