Towards the first step in my quest of putting a 500 kHz shore station
on the air here in the Central Pacific Ocean, I've ordered FCC Form 503,
Application For Land Radio Station Authorization In The Maritime Services.
(I actually had a copy on hand, but it expired 6/30/98.) If this ever gets
to the point where the FCC actually considers awarding me a license, I'll
request the callsign KHO (my amateur callsign minus the 6); if that's in
use by some broadcast station, then I'll request KHK, a former Hawaii
shore station which went QRT some 22 years ago: Kahuku Radio.

I'll keep ya all posted on the progress of this little adventure.
73 from the island of Oahu,
Jeff KH6O
