Can You Identify This Key?

        David & fellow anchor haulers,

I have an identical hand key - the rectangular flip-up cover is
made of lightweight black Bakelite with a knurled pattern around
the text and lightening logo. The key proper is also fairly
lightweight construction from cadmium plated steel. The finger
rest is slightly concave & black Bakelite.

A German colleague who served in WWII (on the Axis side)
recognised the key as a type he'd used in service. I don't think
it's particularly rare, but I'd be interested to learn more about
        it too.

        73 Nigel VK3ZNQ
