Hello Roy,

The SX-25 was made between 1940 and 1945 according to Chuck Dachis
Hallicrafters book.

As for the other question, I would ask "when is a tube radio NOT worth
restoring?"   In other words,  I would do it!  Personally speaking of
course :-)
