Restringing a Radio

General Radio (now known as GC Electronics) sold a tube about a half
inch in diameter wrapped with peel away paper that contained dial cord
wax. Generations of radio service people always used this after
restringing a dial cord to ensure non slippage. I don't know if it's
still available, but Antique Electronics would be a good place to start
looking. If you lived closer, I'd loan you my stick.
