I am very sorry to have to report that I attended the funeral
this afternoon of a good friend and long time AWA member,
Rufus A. Castles W4SZG.

Rufus died of a massive heart attack on Thursday June 1st
at Palmetto Richland Hospital,  he was 81 years old.
He is survived by his second wife Patricia and a long list
of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rufus was a dedicated radio collector, amateur operator,
amateur astronomer and master machinist.

I feel fortunate to have called Rufus a good friend for
nearly 20. He will be missed.
