Plate Modulating a DX-40 with Eico 730

Gents ...

Back in the early 60's I ran a DX-40 with an Eico 730 modulator.  Trying
to do that again.

I vaguely recall (really vaguely!) that I had to feed the 6146 screen in
the DX-40 from the modulated HV through maybe a 25-30K resistor at 20
watts or so.

There were instructions with my original 730 kit, but the manual copy I
now have or the copy at BAMA doesn't contain the info.

Anyone have the original instructions, or perhaps a suggestion on the best
way to feed/modulate the 6146 screen?
