A friend found a near mint Signal Corps BC-144 receiver at the AWA
conference in Rochester a few days ago. This set was built by NESCO,
Wash. DC in 1932 - It uses the VT-5 peanut triodes. This regenerative
receiver tunes 600 to 1300 kc. What is a Sig. Corps set doing on the
broadcast band in 1932?... A search on Google turned up no info... Any of
you folks have info?
