Anyone have info please re SX28 s/n's?

        Is there a way to decode/understand the numbers? Do they yield info re
date of mfr?
        For example, my friend's H 136561, supposedly purchased as an
Army morale radio in WWII.
        Or H 165086 which appears to be a Navy radio.
        Or my H 178848.
