For Sale - Hallicrafters S-41W receiver........$80 plus shipping

The "W" indicating the white case. This is the same receiver as the
S-41G (Gray case) and the Echophone EC-1A and EC-1B.

This is a 6 tube 3 band receiver covering 550 kHz to 30 MHz with
bandspread. It has a built-in speaker and a BFO and
ANL (anti noise limiter). These were built by Hallicrafters in 1945 and
1946 and were the predecessor to the S-38 series.
This unit works good on all three bands and the BFO works. It appears to
be original except for one of the tubes and it has not been recapped. I
have deox-ed the controls and switches. The case is OK with no dents or
extra holes but it does have a number of scratches. It is missing the
back cover.

The S-41W is the rarest of the three models in this series and they do
not show up very often. I started in ham radio with an
S-41W in 1962 that my dad had purchased in 1945. I still have it and
one other. Three of these is a bit excessive!!!
