SS power supply

I have for sale a solid state sealed regulated power supply. It is a
nice unit in a sealed enclosure per mil-specs and puts out a nominal 5V
at 20 Amps. It has a small pot accessible on the front by unscrewing a
little cover knob that allows the output voltage to be adjusted. It was
made by Abbot Transistor Laboratories Inc. Model M100AEFTX-5A-1-ER, part
no. A2606, serial no. 330230R. It is not a current model, but Abbott has
a website at www.abbottelectronics.com.

It has a Bendix connector for power in and out. Connector is marked
"Bendix 8841 MS3113H16C8P". I see no reason why individual female pins
couldn't be pressed on the male connector pins and wires soldered to
them if the mating Bendix connector is hard to come by. Unit measures
about 6-1/4 X 5-3/4 X 2-3/4 deep.

The nameplate has all the above info and the following pin connection
info:

A INPUT 104 TO 126v 60 HZ
B INPUT
C -SENSE
D -OUTPUT
E -OUTPUT
F +OUTPUT
G +0UTPUT
H +SENSE

FUSE INPUT AT 6 AMPS
MAXUMUM OPERATION TEMP. 71 DEGREES C

TO OPERATE CONNECT +OUTPUT TO +SENSE AND -OUTPUT TO -SENSE

I have another M100 series supply (that I am going to keep) that looks
just like it except it has solder terminals. I hooked this one up and
the output was adjustable from 4.38V to 5.6V. I also have a data sheet
for the "INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE MODEL M POWER SUPPLY" that I
could supply a copy of.

I thought that this supply might be good to power filaments of regens
with DC for lower noise, such as the 6SN7 rig I want to try. I don't
know if there would be any serious drawbacks to running filaments at
5.6V rather than the usual 6.3V or whatever. Of course, I suppose these
would be dandy for any 5V filament tubes. Comments?

Is anyone interested in the supply described above? I will sell it CONUS
for $12 plus shipping or pick up in ZIP 98021 (Seattle - Everett area).
It weighs about 5-1/2 pounds.

E-mail direct if interested.

Thanx and 73,

Jim W7HPK
