Globe King 500 Question

George -
A Globe King should put out about 325 W at 330 mA Plate current on
80M. I have heard people claim 400W, but I suspect wattmeter problems
there! I have also heard that a particular brand of 4-250 (I think
the old [real] Amperex, but not sure) would put out 350-375, but I
have never actually seen one do it.
Do you have the three position loading switch of the 500, or the six
position switch of the 500A and up? Assuming your GK is unmodified,
and the Plate and Screen voltages are correct, I would suspect that
your loading capacitors have gotten leaky.
Let us know what you find!
