I'm in the same boat with KNX-1070 in the Los Angeles area.  Use high-Q 
coils and rotate the set for minimum pickup.  It helps, but doesn't solve 
the problem.  My best solution is to take the radio when you go 
camping.  By the way, the best location I have found are the two Grand 
Canyon campgrounds.
