Who Built the BC-696-A Transmitters?

Thanks for the explanation!

I, of course, have 40M, and crystals to multiply up
to 6 & 2M but nothing in the junk box fundamental
between 3 & 4kc/MHz.

There's a Fest in St Pete this Saturday so will
see about picking up one there.
