SX-99 Mute

You have to solder two wires to the "Mute/Receive"
switch and run them out the back.  Then leave the
switch in the "Mute" position and use a set of
normally closed contacts on a relay which go "open"
when transmitting which will mute the receiver.

I had to do this on my original S-85 receiver
(basically the same except for the "S" meter and
rudementary crystal filter) back in 1960.
