Hallicrafters S-40 vs 40A question

Hi Rick,
I have a S-40A with an 80 tube in it. 80 is stamped on the chassis next to the
4-pin socket.
I don't have any further info on these... perhaps they switched to 5Y3 sometime
during mid-prod of the S-40A??
