Hi Rich,
A great find.  Have an IP-17 that is beige.  Heathkit used a rubbery 
rough finish that turned to a gray goo after years.
Found a very close product.  It is Krylon Suede #1241 Buckskin..  Have 
painted all my beige units and they look great.
