Questions re. Airpax Electronics Vibrator A-1045-12

I have a Airpax Electronics Vibrator A-1045-12,
(Hughes NO. 992202-1) and have several questions,
please?

1.  The metal cover is loose.  How best to rescure it
to the orange foam gasket at the base, please?

2.  Anyone have application info for this?

3.  Might the "-12" in the Airpax number indicate 12VDC?

4.  I am getting a Multi-Elmac PSR-6 DC-DC power supply
that I plan to convert FROM 6VDC TO 12VDC Input.  Might
I use this for that purpose?
