New project. SX-101 MK3

My mom pointed out to me a Hallicrafters SX-101 that had been in a storage
shed in the desert for the past 27 years.  It is at home and on the bench.

Does anyone have any tricks or hints for removing the sitcky dust (looks
like dirt combined with wax and/or oil) from the under chassis areas and
components?
