>(whatever that means)

Ordinary audio is 300 to 3000 kHz at the -6dB points.
or worse, 300 Hz to 2.3 kHz with a narrower filter.

Decent audio reproduction for all sounds, is "hi-fi" audio
which denotes 20 Hz to 20 kHz at the -3dB points.

For voice you really don't need that. Even for music, the AM
broadcasters got by with a 10 kHz upper limit for their audio
for many years, and we all tolerated it. After all, our car
radios were tinny soung through those 3" X 5" and 4" X 10"
elliptical speakers anyway!

Then came FM and we realized what full range audio can
sound like - much better!

Similarly hams like a bit more fidelity.
