Gentlemen and Ladies
The question I keep coming back to, and maybe I just don't see the bigger 
picture, is why not just buy it with the insurance money and go on from 
there? Order will be restored to the universe. The seller is probably not 
the bloke who stole it and just may be innocent of all wrongdoing. Maybe 
not, who out there can really say for sure.
Just my simpleminded opinion. The kind of things they try to teach in 
management school---bigger picture, let it go, blah x 3.
