Needed 83 tube.

If you are using the 83 for a tube tester, I would recommend using either
two silicon diodes, or the original 83, as the voltage drop of the 5U4 will
cause erratic performance-that's the reason all the Hickok testers and
clones use the 83.  The mercury vapor tubes have a nearly constant voltage
drop over their operating range.

PS... 5U4G's used to make the world go around... and in this case, the 
rectification is "close enough for government work"....
