That was the original reason for me getting the xfmr, an 813 amp. Never did build the supply es gave the amp away but kept the xfmr. Sure glad I at least kept the xfmr. She'll be good for a 600 meter KW some day.

Used one for years, in an amp that worked hard, lasted long time,
a pair of 813s, ran rtty with it for many years... tubes got hot, 
xfmr didn't.
