Crossover Halli S-41

I have an S-41 in an all gray cabinet (i.e. no band around the bottom). The bandspread dial is black. The name on the cabinet is Echophone, not Hallicrafters. I know that the latter bought the former at some point so I'm guessing that this radio is a crossover/transitional model. Can anyone shed more light on this?
