Drake NB needed

Don't have one but just looked at the circuit and the SPR-4 receiver.
Drake seemed to have never understood how to make good noise blankers.
I thought, at a glance of the receiver schematic, there was a chance they got it right for the SPR-4
because the connector for the NB was before the crystal filter where the signal path bandwidth was
resonably wide , a MHz or so, but when looking at the noise blanker schematic I noticed the first thing the signal
hits is a crysatal filter. As soon as the bandwidth is reduced to a few kHz the NB does not function much better than
an audio noise limiter when it comes to short duration pulse noise. As far as I can tell Drake has been the only
receiver manufacturer that has done this.
