Meissner Signal Shifter

Well, thanks to everyone who offered helpful hints regarding my quest for an
early commercial VFO controlled transmitter. Obviously there were few
before the war. In fact, the only real candidate I have is the 1938 Signal
Shifter! I wanted more power, of course, but can use an amp in the CX
contest, so maybe the SS is the way to go. A couple of people have extra
third editions (1942) and I may well start with one of those.

BUT, does anyone have an original, in the black wrinkle box, or the second
edition, shiny panel and metal dial, they might want to pass on to a good
home? I'm sure I wouldn't want to pay for a museum quality unit, just want
something I can make work for occasional use.

Pictures are attached.

Thanks,
Wilson
