6GE5 conversion of 6KD6 circuit?

That is an interesting alternative - but one has
to wonder why they are so cheap if they are an
easy substitute - any ideas?

A single GI-7B would be neat - but I have doubts
the power supply could be boosted to a high
enough voltage to make that work.
