Little surprise here, the first to ID my mystery socket was



Jim Cross - Vacuum Tubes, Inc



The Y-231 is the same as type SK-740, except the Y-231 is rhodium and  


gold plated for corrosive environments.





The SK-740 accepts types 4CX125C, 4CN15A, 4CX300A/8167, and 4CX300Y/8561
