"Reverse" modulation hum

Nope, it's not ac power filter caps. Sounds like you have an AGC
problem. It could be the AGC filter capacitor. It's a large
capacitance capacitor right after the AGC rectifier. Not an electrolytic.
What receiver is it? And, do you have a schematic?
