NCX-5

Is there anyone out there in Boatanchor land that would like to answer a question I have about my newly acquired NCX-5 ?

The rig seems to work just fine except that the transmit freq. is something different than the freq. indicated on the digital readout. As per the manual I have pulled out the tuning knob to try to correct it but can't seem to get  both freq's to coinside. I have also tried pulling out the transceive  vernier but still
no joy.

Would someone help me?
