Several Bench Type Power Supplies For Sale:
Kepco CK 18-3 Bench Power Supply:
This power supply is a Kepco Model CK 18-3, which means
that it will produce up to 18 V DC at up to 3 amps. This is
an ideal bench power supply!
The voltage is adjustable with a 10 turn pot from close to zero,
up to almost 20 volts. There is a fairly large analog meter that
reads the voltage. Built in current limiting is adjustable with
a 10 turn pot from a few ma to up to about 3 amps. A separate
meter reads the current, so both voltage and current can be read
at the same time. Also, there are connections on the back to
allow remote sensing and remote programming. This is a quality
regulated power supply!
This particular unit works 100%, and looks extremely nice.
These are going for $190 to $200 (plus shipping) in this
condition on that e place. Buy this one for $160.
Kepco Model ABC 40-0.5 Bench Power Supply:
This power supply is a Kepco Model ABC 40-0.5, which means
that it will produce up to 40 V DC at up to 1/2 amp. This is
an ideal bench power supply.
The voltage is adjustable with a 10 turn pot from close to zero,
up to about 40 volts. There is a fairly large analog meter that
reads the voltage. There is also current limiting built in that
is adjustable from about 100 ma to up to about 700 ma. The same
meter that reads voltage can be switched to read current, or
short circuit current (the point that the current limit is set).
In addition, there are connections on the back to allow remote
sensing and remote programming. This is a quality regulated
power supply!
This particular unit works 100%, and looks extremely nice.
These are going for $125 to $150 (plus shipping) in this
condition on that e place. Buy this one for $90.
Heath IP-27 DC power supply:
This is the ideal bench power supply. It has a large meter
which can be switched to read voltage or current, and is
capable of up to 50 V DC at up to 1 1/2 amps of current,
which means it is great for the bench or homebrew projects.
The IP-27 is set up in 5 volt ranges (0 to 5 V, 5 to 10 V,
etc), with a bit of overlap on the ranges, and then has a
pot to set the fine voltage. Heath used a neat design,
where the power transformer has many taps, and is
switched as one changes ranges, keeping heat
and power dissipation to a minimum. The current
limit has 4 ranges (50, 150, 500 ma, and 1.5 amps),
with a pot to set the fine adjustment.
This one works great, and looks fine also.
With paper work for $85.
30 Volt DC Power supply:
Technically, this is a homebrew power supply, but the silent
key who made it was an electrical engineer that was extremely
meticulous. To put it another way, this power supply looks
professional!
This supply is variable up to 30 V DC at up to about 3 amps.
It is in a nice grey hammer tone heavy metal case about 9
inches high, by 5 inches wide, and 6 inches deep (plus knobs),
with a folding handle on the top. It has a fairly large
analog voltmeter that reads to 15 Volts DC, but also has a
switch to read up to 30 V DC.
But the really nice part is that it includes a Variac to
adjust the voltage. The Variac appears to be a 5 amp. It
is worth the cost for just the Variac and the meter!
This unit works well, and looks nice. $40
Prices do not include shipping from Florida.
I also have many other accessories available such as many
different types of microphones, HTs, HF, VHF and UHF rigs, HF
and VHF/UHF antennas, etc.
Just too many to list here. Please e-mail your requests.
Thanks.
