No. 1.445 A means roughly 100 W dissipation and a roughly 60 VDC drop
across the choke.

The DC rating of a choke matters for several reasons:
  The heating effect of the I^2R losses
  The saturation flux density.

And, IMO, GE makes well engineered, carefully rated equipment.
