This is a Powerstat brand Variable Autotransformer, Model 217BU.
The name plate says it is rated at 5 amps, but also says 240
Volts, 7 Amps Maximum.

Obviously, it would be great for slowly bringing up some of the
older equipment.

This unit includes the large knob, and scale.

With paper work for $45 plus shipping from Florida.
It should ship fine in a medium size postal service flat rate
priority box.


ARRL Handbooks and other Publications:

The first two of these are in the smaller 6.5 x 9.5 inch format.
All have some very nice ads in them.
All are in close to new condition, unless stated otherwise.

1948 ARRL Handbook - 25th edition - wear and slight tear at spine.
This one has 144 pages of advertisements in the back, all
of good vintage (1948) gear. It is worth having just for
the ads! $25

1956 ARRL Handbook - 33rd edition - Nice condition
It has 144 pages of ads, and full tube charts. $25

1990 ARRL Handbook - 67th edition
This one has a hard cover, is in the larger size format, and
is in very nice condition.
It is several inches thick, with more information than you
could ever learn. $20


ARRL Antenna Book - 1955 - 7th edition
The cover is worn on this one, but the inside is fine.
Only about 26 pages of ads in this one. $15
