OK, I ain't gonna try it.
I've looked at a newer microwave and think it has a plexi/lexan window. 
It's a little work, but it's fun to salvage occasionally!

Cutting tempered glass is often a recipe for tears. It can shatter during 
the process or at some indeterminate time after cutting. Best to re-use it 
in the original piece as annealed/tempered.
