Boatanchor Items For Sale:
HF Linear Amplifier, Ham Receiver, Grid Dip Meter,
VOM, CW items, Communications Speakers, SWR Bridges,
Power Supply, Synthesizer, Low Pass Filters, Coax
Connectors and Adapters, etc.
Amp Supply LK-500 Z A, HF Amplifier:
The LK-500 is an HF amp that runs a pair of 3-500 tubes, on
the 160 thru 10 meter bands, producing close to the legal
limit. On this amp, 30 watts of drive produces about 400
watts out of the amp; 50 watts gives about 650 Watts out;
etc.
This amp has a MUCH heavier duty Peter Dahl power transformer,
and covers 160 meters. It has a excellent tuned input matching
circuit. It is a superior amplifier.
This particular amp works very well. It has a manual step
start circuit added, and the electrolytic capacitors have
been replaced. Cosmetically it looks very, very nice. I
can not find a scratch on it. It looks like new.
Since this is heavy, I would much prefer pickup in the
Ocala, FL area.
With paper work for $900.
Heath HR-10 B receiver:
The HR-10 B covers 80 through 10 meters. Each band
is separately calibrated on a large, easy-to-read
slide-rule dial. A carefully designed diode detector,
plus BFO, tunes AM or CW and SSB signals. It has a
crystal filter for excellent selectivity characteristics.
Panel controls consist of antenna trimmer, bandswitch,
tuning, BFO tuning, RF gain, AF gain w/AC on-off switch,
xtal calibration on/off, STBY/RCV, BFO on/off, AVC on/off,
and automatic noise limiter on/off. An accessory socket
is provided on the rear chassis apron for receiver muting,
etc., and a speaker jack is provided for use with an 8 ohm
speaker.
This particular unit looks extremely nice; the cosmetics
are really great. It has been stored for many years, so
I would expect that it might need new capacitors. Power
has not been applied.
With paper work for $75.
Heath GD-1 B Grid Dip Meter:
At one point, this was the "standard" grid dip meter,
used by almost everyone for boatanchor rigs.
It covers 2 to 250 MHz, with five coils. All five coils
are included (even the little piece of wire that is the
100 to 250 MHz coil).
The box that holds the coils is original and in good
condition.
Paper work is included for $45.
Analog V O M:
This Micronta Volt Ohm Milliamp Meter is an analog
meter that permits reading values on a mirrored analog
scale. An analog meter is much better to use when
one is trying to peak or dip a circuit.
Scales:
Resistance: R X 1, R X 10, R X 100, R X 1000
DC Voltage: 0.6, 3, 15, 60, 300, 600, 1200
AC Voltage: 15, 60, 150, 600, 1200
DC current: 0.06, 3, 30, 300 ma
It also has an "Output" jack.
Probes are included. $12
CW Key and other Morse Code Items:
Generic brass colored oval base key
This is similar to a J-38 (without the bakelite base),
but is a Japanese copy. It is brass colored, but
is not real brass. Includes shorting switch. This
is mounted on a very nice piece of solid wood that
is tear drop shaped. It works fine and looks really,
really great. $25
ARRL Morse Code Exam CD
5 WPM version, sent at 15 WPM, but spaced for 5 WPM, with
750 hz tone $7
Cable for straight key
About 3 feet long, with a mono 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) phone
plug on it, as used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/4 inch plug. $5
Cable for paddles
About 3 feet long, and with a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. $8
As above, but 1/4 inch plug. $8
As above, with 1/4 inch GOLD plated plug. $15
Communications Speakers:
Realistic 21-549 A
This speaker is about 4 inches square and about 2 inches
deep. It is rated for 5 watts, has an 8 ohm impedance, and
is listed as a 300 to 3000 Hz frequency response, making it
ideal for communications. It has a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) mono
plug, as used by most modern rigs. Gimbal mount included.
It is black in color, looks great, and sounds great. $15
Vanco SPB-5
Appears to be the same at above, but with a Vanco label.
Also includes gimbal mount. $15
HF and VHF SWR Bridges:
All of these cover from 3 thru 150 MHz, covering HF,
6 meters, and 2 meters. SO-239 connectors in and out on all.
Royce 2-100 Single Meter SWR Bridge / Field Strength Meter
This one works fine, and looks extremely nice. I do not see
any scratches on it, but it does have a previous owner's
name on it.
In its original box with original instructions. $25
Monarch FSI-3
Appears to be the same SWR Bridge as above, but with a
different faceplate and model number. Extremely nice
condition. $18
Heath AM-2 SWR Bridge:
This SWR Bridge matches the DX-40, although it can be
used with any HF or VHF transmitter. It is about 8 inches
wide and 4.5 inches high, with the meter in the middle,
and a gray colored knob at each side near the bottom.
This particular unit works fine and is in very good shape.
Paper work is included for $25.
Daiwa CN-520 "Cross Needle" wattmeter:
This wattmeter covers 1.8 to 60 MHz, and is the "cross needle"
type, so it reads SWR at the same time it reads forward and
reflected power.
Forward scales of 2000 W or 200 W; reflected 400 W and 40 Watts.
This one looks very nice and works like new,
with the paperwork for $60.
Astron RS-20A Power Supply:
The RS-20A is a DC Power Supply producing 13.8 V DC (internally
adjustable from 11 to 15 V DC) at up to 16 amps continuous and
20 amps ICS. The RS-20 features crowbar over voltage protection
and fold-back current limiting to protect your equipment.
This particular supply works fine, and looks very close to new.
There is one very small scratch that can be seen if the light
is just right, but is not normally visible.
With paper work for $60.
Synthesizer/Modulator For Sale:
Signatron, Inc of Lexington, MA, Modulator/Synthesizer
This unit is a very precision piece of equipment,
apparently made for the government, although the
frequencies would indicate it could have been made
for ham use. It has a digital synthesizer with the
frequency selected by a series of thumb wheel switches,
covering both VHF (100 to 149.95 MHz) and UHF (220 to
450 MHz with a different control).
This all solid state unit is made for rack mounting,
being 7 inches high and 20 inches deep. It has four
very precision Lambda power supplies in it, a DowKey
relay to switch between the VHF and UHF parts, a very
precision 10 db attenuator with 1 db steps, and other
extremely expensive parts.
I powered it up and all seems to function fine. I do
not have a scope that goes that high, but using a lower
freq scope all looks to be fine.
Less than the cost of a couple parts. $50
Low Pass TVI Filters For Sale:
A low pass TVI filter is added to the transmitter to reduce
harmonic interference. All have SO-239 connectors, and are
50 ohm filters.
The first one works on 6 meters as well as HF:
Drake TV-5200-LP Low pass TVI filter
This is the filter that may also be used on the low end of six
meters, as well as HF. It is good for 1000 Watts "average" below
30MHz, and about 200 W up to 52 MHz. It is the newer version
of the TV-1000. $30
Bencher YA-1, high power, low pass TVI filter
If you need a heavy duty filter for the output of your amplifier,
this one is ideal. It will take full legal power plus, and has at
least 80 db signal attenuation at TV channel 2. This one works
great, and is in its original box.
Bencher currently sells these for about $90. Only $60.
Bencher YA-1
As above, not in original box. $45
B & W FL-10/1500
This filter cuts off just above 10 meters, and handles 1500
Watts. It is the latest model B&W filter. In very nice condition,
it looks close to new. $40
