When you suppress the carrier, receiving on an AM receiver is difficult if not a practical impossibility. On an SSB receiver, either LSB or USB can be used.

I can drive this with a WRL/Globe V-10 VFO.
Rather than adding plate modulation I'd like to add a
balanced modulator stage for DSB.
That way the signal may be easily copied by AM or SSB
receivers - making the venerable T-60 a more versatile
transmitter. (Rx a Gonset G-66B or National NC-190.)
Maybe a 7360 or 6JH8 or 6ME8 or other balanced modulator
stage between buffer and multiplier?

Class C to AB? Possible tweaks for linearity to the
