  I have many concerns over the 2 tube 813 transmitter.

Several failure modes could destroy both tubes. It is overly simplified to reduce component count.

Vol 2 Issue 1 (1939) forward has info on the 813.

No, but I have a lot of respect for the 813 tube.  I once had a GG linear
using two of them.  It was OK but then I modified the PS to up the voltage
to where it should have caused problem and it was great.  3000 volts at
500MA and 1000 watts out.  No color on the tube. This was 75M only.  A very
tough tube.
