1935 Patterson PR-16 receiver - $600. Pick Up Only or You Arrange Shipping

This is a 16 tube receiver that covers 550 kHz to 32 MHz. These were
built in 1935 and 1936 in Los Angeles California. This is believed to be
the only communication's receiver to have parallel RF amplifier tubes.
It also has a crystal filter and has push pull 42's for the audio output
stage.

This one was restored electrically about 13 years ago. It works well and
receives signals on all bands. The S-meter is not working. Cosmetically
very nice with a few extra holes in the case but not on the front panel
and really not noticeable.

*This receiver like most 1930's receivers requires a 1930's style
electrodynamic speaker. The choke for the power supply is part of the
speaker assembly.*

I listened to the receiver last night on the AM Broadcast band and also
heard WWV on 2.5, 5, 10 and 15 MHz. Also listened to CW and SSB on both
40 meters and 75 meters. Antenna was a foot long piece of wire. Not an
ideal antenna.

*This local pickup only. I will not ship.*

If you want to make arrangements to have it shipped, I will deliver to a
shipper in Phoenix. I do have a shipper who I can recommend. He has
shipped an SX-28, a Breting 14 and a few other heavy boatanchor
receivers for me this past year. All arrived at the buyer in excellent
shape.

E-mail me for pictures.
