The main advantage of VAI sub-interfaces is the lower overhead managing
them, especially when the session comes up and a new interface needs to
be created. Realistically you'll see a difference under a high session
load (> 10 or so new sessions/second).
So unless you're using this in a larger-scale BRAS environment with a
high session load, I wouldn't worry about it.
