First of all, the SC2200 had a product name change well more than a year ago to
the PGW 2200, so it will help in your debugging &/or looking for Cisco
assistance for
all to use that name.

Secondly, this "signaling mode" or "nailed" method of SS7 interconnect is only
one method. I assume it's what you wanted to do, but for general notice, one
can also do SS7 interconnect with the voice gateways controlled via MGCP by
either the PGW 2200 in switched mode or with the BTS 10200.

When using the PGW, 2200 mode, I would recommend using SCTP rather than RLM
for the gateway/PGW 2200 interface.

Thirdly, you should be looking at debugs on the PGW 2200 as well as on the
gateway for your "channel unavailable" problem. You may have a span/nfas
interface
mismatch or some other configuration mismatch which is causing the PGW 2200
to take the channel out of service. At any rate, merely looking at the
gateway is not
sufficient.

For general information on configuation & debugging, (currently supported
software for
the PGW 2200 is 9.3(2)), see:
